Vivek is a renowned chef, author and restaurateur. He is the CEO and Executive Chef of five modern Indian restaurants (four in London, one in Oxford), including his flagship restaurant, The Cinnamon Club, located in the grand former Westminster Library.

 

Outside of the kitchen, he has authored several acclaimed cookery books, including Spice at Home and Indian Festival Feasts and is a regular on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen and Celebrity Masterchef, as well as at live cookery events across the country.

Following his childhood in West Bengal, Vivek was classically trained as a chef in  Delhi and worked for the prestigious Oberoi hotel group in India before he moved to London in 2001.

 

His innovative approach to combining flavours, ingredients and techniques from East and West has placed him at the vanguard of a new style of Indian fine dining and made him one of the most inspiring chefs of his generation.
